Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance..                     

 

Siromani Vadday aka Siri is an author and writer whose work has been published in many anthologies. One of her recent books 'Siri Mallelu- eka vakya samputi' has gained a lot of appreciation from many poets and critics. She has written forwards for many publishings and is a critic who actively responds to the everyday issues of the world. 

 

Siri was born on December 17,  in South India. Father being a Doctor and mother housewife, she did her schooling in a small village in East Godavari. At the age of 15, she moved to Rajamundry for college where she earned a degree in English Literature. She has always had passion for books and poetry. During her college days, Siri has written many stories and poems for the magazines. Her favourite author was Sri. Yandamuri Veerendranath sir. She grew up reading many of his novels which inspired her to become an author herself today. 

 

At the age of 22 she was married and is a mother of two children. In 2007, she has moved to the United Kingdom where she started writing peoms and sharing them through the social networking sites like Facebook. All her works are in telugu, her mother tongue. She has recieved huge appreciation for her works which kept her going. When asked how she gets these beautiful ideas, she replied- 'nature is the most beautiful thing on earth. All my ideas come for the wonderful environment around me.' 

 

To conclude, she is very down to earth, hard-working individual who is a wonderful mother. I am very lucky to be your daughter and will thank god everyday for giving me the most amazing mum in the world.
